Congress On Sharad Pawar: Politics has intensified after Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar’s statement regarding the Adani issue. Now Congress leader Alka Lamba has attacked Sharad Pawar. He tweeted on Saturday (April 8), "Feared, greedy people are today singing the praises of dictatorial power due to their personal interests. The fight of the people of the country is Rahul Gandhi alone are fighting. Capitalists from thieves and also from the watchman who protects thieves."
Actually, Sharad Pawar had said on Saturday that he is not completely against the JPC probe into the allegations against the Adani Group, but a Supreme Court committee would be more appropriate and effective in this regard. Pawar, in a conversation with NDTV, defended the Adani group and criticized the narrative being created on the basis of the Hindenburg Research report.
What did Sharad Pawar say?
Pawar had said that if the JPC has 21 members, due to strength of numbers in Parliament, 15 would be from the ruling party and six from the opposition parties, which would cast doubt on the committee. I am not totally against JPC. JPCs have been formed many times and I have been the chairman of some JPCs. JPC will be constituted on the basis of majority (in Parliament). Instead of JPC, I am of the view that a Supreme Court committee would be more appropriate and effective.
Feared – greedy people are today singing the praises of dictatorial power due to their personal interests – the fight of the people of the country is a single @RahulGandhi is fighting – the capitalist thieves as well as the watchman who protects the thieves. pic.twitter.com/JNt88bjTNU
