82 pro-Gehlot MLAs likely to resign, opposition to making Sachin Pilot Chief Minister?

Rajasthan Congress Legislative Party Meeting: Rajasthan is likely to witness a big political drama once again. A meeting of Congress Legislature Party has been called today amid the discussion of changing the Chief Minister in Rajasthan. The meeting will be held at Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s residence. In this meeting, after Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced that he will contest the election for the post of Congress president, the leadership change is being discussed. Congress president has made Mallikarjun Kharge and Ajay Maken observers and in-charges for this meeting. This legislative party meeting may begin shortly. 25 MLAs including former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot are present at Gehlot’s residence. All these are from Sachin Pilot group and some other MLAs.

MLAs supporting Gehlot may resign

According to sources, all Gehlot group MLAs may go to Rajasthan Speaker CP Joshi’s house from Shanti Dhariwal’s house. There is talk of mass resignation of pro-Gehlot MLAs. It is said that around 82 MLAs have written their resignations and will take them to the Speaker’s house. Talking about this, Pratap Singh Khachariawas said that all MLAs are upset and are resigning. We will go to the party president for that. The MLAs are upset that how can they take decisions without consulting Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

According to sources, the MLAs said in this meeting that if Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot goes to the Center as Congress President and resigns as Chief Minister. Make any one of those 102 MLAs the Chief Minister who stood with the Congress against Pilot trying to topple the government. Meanwhile, there is talk that Sachin Pilot can be made Chief Minister if Gehlot resigns. This is what the Gehlot group has opposed.
