The central government had announced an auction for spectrum to telecom companies in August. After that, the government asked to prepare for the rollout for 5G services. India has reached the final stage of launching 5G services. 5G service will be launched in India soon.
What is different about 5G from 3G and 4G?
5G is a fifth generation mobile network that transmits data at very high speeds. The speed of 5G is very high compared to 3G and 4G. Compared to 4G, 5G will provide ten times faster service. The feature of this service is that the entire end to end network is built in India.
Who participated in the auction?
Four major telecom companies participated in the spectrum auction. Reliance Jio, Adani Group, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone-Idea participated in this.
How much revenue did the government get from the auction?
The 5G spectrum auction was held recently. From this, the central government received a bid of Rs 1.50 lakh. The government is likely to earn Rs 80,000-90,000 crore initially from the auction.
Meanwhile, India will benefit greatly from this technology after the launch of 5G services. Apart from this, India will get a big benefit from this at the global level as well. Indigenous 5G technology will help indigenous 5G private companies to make their place in the global market.
