30 people lost their lives in serial bomb blasts in Delhi, September 13 is witness to these incidents

13 September In History : There were serial bomb blasts at four places in Delhi within 30 minutes. 30 Jamas were killed in Yam. Around 130 people were injured. The day of September 13 has been marked with one of the biggest incidents of terrorism in the history of the country. Terrorists set off blasts in Delhi’s Connaught Place and Karolbagh’s Gaffar Market as well as in bustling Greater Kailash. 30 people were killed and more than 90 people were injured in these bomb blasts. On 13 September 1948, the Indian Army launched Operation Polo. This military operation was done to merge Hyderabad with India. This action by the Indian Army was named Operation Polo. 

2008 Delhi Bomb Blasts 

On 13 September 2008, a chain of four locations in Delhi at an interval of 30 minutes. There was a bomb blast. 30 Jamas were killed in Yam. Around 130 people were injured. The day of September 13 has been marked with one of the biggest incidents of terrorism in the country’s history. 

Terrorists set off blasts in Delhi’s Connaught Place and Gaffar Market in Karolbagh as well as in the bustling Greater Kailash. 30 people were killed and more than 90 people were injured in these bomb blasts. Not only Delhi but the entire country was shaken by this horrific terrorist attack. The terrorists had sent an e-mail to a media house before the blast, saying that the blasts would take place in five minutes.  This e-mail was made in the name of Indian Mujahideen (IM). After that, 13 people were arrested in connection with this serial bombing till 2011.

1948 : Hyderabad Liberation War  Operation Polo, Indian troops entered the territory of Hyderabad to annex Hyderabad State to India < /p>

On 13 September 1948, the Indian Army launched Operation Polo. This military operation was done to merge Hyderabad with India. This action of the Indian Army was named as Operation Polo. Because at that time Hyderabad had the highest number of 17 polo grounds in the world. As soon as the Indian Army entered Hyderabad, the then Prime Minister of Pakistan Liaquat Ali Khan convened a meeting of the Defense Council. Asked if Pakistan could take any action in Hyderabad? Pakistan could not do anything as Group Captain Elworthy, present at the meeting, said no. But, due to this action of India, Pakistan was very upset. Pakistan also tried to raise the matter in the United Nations but to no avail.  

1944 : World War II, Battle of Meligalas: Fighting begins between Greek resistance forces and Allied security battalions of the Greek People’s Liberation Army (ELAS).

The Battle of Meligalas is considered to be one of the most important battles of World War II. Because on September 13, 1944, the Greek People’s Liberation Army began fighting with the Greek resistance forces and their allied security battalions.
