24 September In History : Today is a day of great success in the field of space missions. India’s attempt to reach the southern tip of the moon in September last year was unsuccessful. But this month will mark a milestone with India’s success in space. On September 24, 2014, India had successfully placed its spacecraft into the orbit of Mars in its first ever attempt to achieve a major feat. On September 24, 2014, India became the first country in the world to achieve this feat in its maiden attempt to reach Mars. India overtook the two giants of Asia, China and Japan. Because both these countries were successful in their first Mars missions.
 
 1726 : The East India Company was empowered to establish municipal and mayor courts in Bombay, Calcutta and Madras 
The British East India Company was established on 31 December 1600. Queen of Britain gave 21 years to trade with India. Later the company established its military and administrative control over almost all areas of India. In 1858 the company was amalgamated. After that, British rule came over India. Before that, on 24 September 1726, the East India Company was empowered to establish Municipal Corporations and Mayoral Courts in Bombay, Calcutta and Madras.

Nana Saheb was born in the year 1824 in the house of Madhavnarayan Rao in Venugram. His father was the brother of Peshwa Bajirao II. The Peshwa accepted Nanarao as his adopted son and made adequate arrangements for his education and initiation. They were taught how to handle elephants, horses, swords and guns and were also given a good knowledge of several languages. He was the architect of the first war of Indian independence of 1857. His original name was Dhondupant. Nana Saheb led the freedom struggle against the British in Kanpur. 

1861 : Birth of Madam Bhikhaji Rustam Kama who played an important role in India’s freedom struggle

Bhikhaji Rustam Kama or Madame Kama His name is eternal in Indian history. Whenever the songs of India’s independence are sung, Bhikhaji Kama’s name will come up. Although Bhikhaji Rustom Kama was a French citizen of Indian origin, his contribution to India’s independence was no less than that of any Indian.  1990 : East Germany withdrew from the Warsaw Pact 
in opposition to NATO. An alliance of Eastern European countries led by the Soviet Union signed the Warsaw Pact in 1955. These included the Soviet Union, Poland, East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.  His main task was to combat the countries involved in NATO. However, East Germany withdrew from the Warsaw Pact on September 24, 2004.
