Ganesh Navratri celebrations are being celebrated in the metropolis of Hyderabad. The pilgrims gathered all over the city will proceed to Gangamma Odi tomorrow (Friday). To this extent, the government machinery has made strong arrangements. On the occasion of immersion, the state government has declared Friday as a holiday for schools, colleges and educational institutions in the three districts. It said that this holiday will be applicable to government offices, schools and colleges in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medchal-Malkajigiri districts. CS Somesh Kumar has issued an official order to this effect. The details have been revealed in the order that instead of tomorrow’s holiday, November 12 (second Saturday) will be declared as a working day.
On the other hand, arrangements have been made on the Hyderabad Tank Bund for Ganesh immersion. Balapur Ganesha will also be immersed in Hyderabad Tank Bund. Hyderabad Traffic Police has released the route map related to Ganesh immersion in Tank Bund. The routes from which the idols should be brought towards the tank bund have been clarified through this route map. All arrangements have been completed for Vinayaka immersion in other tanks like Sarur Nagar, Nalla Cheruvukatta Uppal and Safil Guda under Rachakonda. The required number of cranes have already been made available.
Officials and traffic police informed that no traffic other than idol procession will be allowed on the above main procession route from 6 am on Friday (tomorrow) to 10 am on Saturday. He clarified that the traffic restrictions will be extended if the situation requires. There will be traffic restrictions from Telugu Talli Junction to Khairatabad via Necklace Road, NTR Marg, IMAX from 6 am on Friday to Saturday evening.
