Trs Land Issue: The Telangana High Court has issued notices to TRS president KCR. The tribunal issued the notices as part of an inquiry into land allotment in districts for Telangana Rashtra Samithi party offices. The High Court has been hearing a petition filed by retired employee Maheshwar Raj on land allotment to TRS offices in the districts. Also, the petitioner objected to the allotment of 4,935 yards in Banjara Hills for the TRS Hyderabad office. The petitioner had approached the High Court seeking to give the most expensive land to the landlord for just Rs. The apex court, which heard the petition, issued notices to KCR, TRS general secretary Srinivas Reddy, CS, CCLA and the district collector of Hyderabad. Ordered the counters to be filed within four weeks.
A bench of Justices Satish Chandrasharma and Abhinand Kumar Shawli heard the public interest litigation. Chikkudu Prabhakar, counsel for the petitioner, contended that the Jivo issued on August 16, 2018 was unconstitutional for allotment of land not exceeding one acre per yard for one hundred rupees in the district centers to recognized political parties. The High Court directed the government to submit full details. Notices were also issued to KCR as part of the investigation. However, issuing notices to KCR has now become a hot topic in Telangana.
