Nowadays most of the people spend most of their day on the screen. Everything from office work to entertainment is connected to the screen. You know very well that spending more time on laptop, mobile and tablet affects our physical and mental health badly. But do you know that due to these, your skin also has a bad effect? Most people will not be aware that spending more time on the screen also has bad effects on the skin.

How does blue light affect the skin 

Mobile phones, laptops, tablets and computers emit harmful radiation. Of these, especially one blue light comes, which causes allergies, irritation and redness on the skin. Actually the ‘blue light’ coming from the screen goes deep into the skin. Some studies have also claimed that being in contact with a smart screen for an hour can cause many skin problems. 

Many skin experts say that smart screens are somewhere responsible for the increase in skin related problems across the world, especially in India. Dermatologists believe that exposure to blue light from screens can lead to premature aging of the skin and wrinkles.

How to protect yourself?

1. Minimize the use of digital screens. Watch mobile, TV or laptop in some time gap. Don’t look at them for a second.

2. People who spend more time on digital screens should use sunscreen. Because it can provide double protection. 

3. Use any digital device on night mode or dark mode. Blue light is deactivated when in night mode or dark mode. 

4. You can also use a screen protector against blue light.
