According to a study published in the journal BMJ Global Health, more than 1 billion people who use headphones and earbuds are at risk of hearing loss. Listen in low volume..

Use over headphones..

Use volume canceling headphones.
In order not to hear outside noises.. the volume of the headphones is increased. It can damage your eardrum. That is why it is better to use voice canceling headphones. It gives you better experience at low volume.
Give a gap in between..
If you use earphones for a long time, there will be problems. So.. taking a break in the middle is a bit of a relief for the ears. It is good to take a break of 5 minutes every 30 minutes, or 10 minutes every hour.
