What is cancer?

According to a study conducted at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health, it is clear that our meal times also increase the risk of cancer. It also clarified who is at higher risk of cancer depending on the time of eating. A study has shown that people who eat after 9 pm every day and do not leave a gap of two hours between meals and sleep have a higher risk of cancer. Compared to other people, those who follow this routine have a 25 percent chance of getting cancer.
The circadian biological clock determines and regulates the sleep-wake cycle. It repeats every 24 hours, also known as circadian rhythm. If your body clock is working correctly, by 9 pm or later, the body wants to be ready for sleep, which happens after eating. It protects you from obesity caused by eating and sleeping too soon.
The study looked at 621 prostate cancer patients, 1,205 breast cancer patients, 872 men and 1,321 women who did not work night shifts. With the help of interviews and questionnaires, their meal time, sleep time and schedule were learned.
Those who said they slept two hours or two after dinner had a 20 percent lower risk of breast and prostate cancer. However, late eaters have a 25 percent increased risk of cancer.
Dr. Manolis Kogevinas, head of the study, said that eating meals on time every day can reduce the risk of cancer. More research is needed to determine why meal timing affects cancer risk. Some evidence suggests that it may also be due to disrupted sleep patterns.
