Acidity Problems: Acidity and constipation bother even during fasting, these are the tips for prevention

Navratri Diet Plan: The period of fasting is going on. Muslim Rojedars are fasting by keeping Roza. At the same time, Hindus are fasting by observing Navratri fast. It is very important to take care of diet during fasting.  Devotees take fasting food throughout the day during Navratri. Amidst all this, it is necessary to keep in mind that chili spices are not being used in the food. This can also cause acidity and constipation problems. To avoid this some important tips have to be followed.

First understand, when does acidity happen?

Acidity or gastroesophageal reflux disease can happen to any person. Usually this problem occurs when the stomach acid goes towards the esophagus again and again. This can cause damage to the lining of the esophagus. On the other hand, the problem of constipation occurs when we start drinking very little water. Digestive system deteriorates due to lack of water, eating fried roast and other problems during Navratri.

What to do to prevent acidity and constipation?

1. Take more fiber
Fiber works to keep the intestines healthy. If you are taking more fiber in food every day, then it keeps the digestive system healthy. Food items like Rajgiri flour, Kuttu flour, Samak rice, Makhana can be a better option in Navratri.

2. Don’t eat citrus fruits
If there is already a problem of acidity, avoid eating food items like oranges, grapefruits and lemons. This can make the problem of acidity more serious. Bananas like chikoo and melon work to calm the acid in the stomach.

3. Take care of hydration
Dehydration is a serious problem. That’s why it is necessary to keep in mind during the fast that dehydration should not happen at all. Drink lukewarm water instead of cold water. Avoid drinking too much water at once. This can lead to bloating and acidity.

4. Must take healthy drinks
Healthy drinks must be drunk. Due to this, the energy level is maintained in the body. Buttermilk and cold milk can be a good option to calm acidity. Avoid drinking caffeinated drinks. Coconut water is also a good option.

5. Exercise regularly
Keep doing regular exercise and yoga. But it has to be kept in mind that one should not do excessive fasting or workouts. By doing less workouts, the digestive system remains correct. Blood supply also remains better.
