Ahmedabad:During a discussion in the Gujarat Assembly, a BJP MLA suggested that street lights be kept off for 15 days of the month. So the other MLA said that DJ should be banned in marriage programs. This should be done especially in tribal areas. On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party’s Botad MLA Umesh Makwana said that the government should give subsidy to plant saplings around the fields. These days the session of the state assembly is going on in Gujarat which will continue till March 23.

BJP MLA from Mandvi Anirudh Dave had said that street lights should be kept off for 15 days every month. These days there is moonlight. In such a situation, street lights can be switched off in moonlight. Fateh Singh Chauhan, BJP’s MLA from Kalol in Panchmahal district, said that the government should ban DJs at weddings. This not only causes noise pollution but it is also destroying the tribal culture. Folk songs and folk dancers were the main attraction in the tribal areas. He is having a problem with the DJ culture.
