Parents are necessary in the writing of love marriage, MLAs in Gujarat Assembly demanded from Law Minister
Ahmedabad:The issue of marriage echoed in the Gujarat Assembly on Thursday. Fateh Singh Chauhan, MLA from Panchmahal’s Kalol Assembly, demanded from the Law Minister of the state that the signature of the parents should be necessary in case of love marriage. Chauhan demanded that anti-social elements work to trap daughters. Out of these, it should be made mandatory. Fateh Singh Chauhan said that the place where the daughter was born. There the marriage should be written and read. Chouhan said that right now daughters are wrongly implicated in love marriages and get married in other districts. Chauhan said that it is necessary to do this for the safety of daughters.

Congress also got support
BJP MLA Fateh Singh Chauhan also got the support of Congress on the issue of making parents’ signature necessary in love marriage. Congress’s lone woman legislator in the Gujarat Assembly, Geniben Thakor, supported the demand. Geniben later said that the sisters and daughters should be safe, this was demanded in the House. Ganiben said whose daughter is the village. His marriage should be recorded there. Ganiben has taken forward the demand of Fateh Singh Chauhan that the presence of father should be made mandatory for love marriage. Prior to the demand of these MLAs, the Patidar community of North Gujarat has raised the demand of parents’ signature in the court marriage.

Love Jihad also mentioned
Geniben Thakor said that the incidents of love jihad are also increasing in the state. If this happens, these incidents will decrease. The situation will improve if the parents sign the love marriage. Anti-social elements will not be able to make daughters and sisters webcoofs by persuading them. To stop the cases of love jihad in the state, the Rupani government had amended the Freedom of Religion Act. Which was called the Anti Love Jihad law. Some of its sections have been stayed by the court. In such a situation, that law is still ineffective to a large extent in the state.
