BBC is working against Modi government under secret agenda, BJP Gujarat MLA’s proposal will be discussed in assembly
Ahmedabad: There will be a discussion against the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly on Friday, March 10. This discussion will be held on the proposal of BJP MLA Vipul Patel. Patel said in his proposal that the documentary made by BBC is fake. The facts of the Gujarat riots have been tampered with. Not only this, Patel has also said in the proposal that BBC is working against India and the Government of India under its secret agenda. The motion states that the BBC tried to blame the then state government for the 2002 Godhra riots. BBC has made a despicable attempt to tarnish India’s reputation in the whole world through the documentary. Gujarat Assembly Speaker Shankar Chowdhary has fixed 1 hour for discussion on the proposal of Vipul Patel, MLA from Anand’s Sojitra, BJP.

Demand for strict action in the proposal
In the resolution presented by the BJP MLA, strict action has been demanded against the BBC. This is the first time that a motion against BBC documentary has come in any assembly of the country and it is going to be discussed. The schedule of proceedings of the House issued by the Assembly Secretariat after the BJP MLA accepted the proposal states that India is a democratic country and freedom of expression is at the core of its constitution, but this does not mean that Any media organization can misuse such freedom. The BBC documentary ‘India: The Modi Question’ claims to be based on the investigation of several aspects related to the 2002 Gujarat riots in two parts. At the time of the Gujarat riots, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of the state. The motion demanded action against the BBC.

BBC has a secret agenda
The Gujarat Assembly is discussing the documentary against the BBC at a time when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is on a UK tour and is raising issues related to the country there. He had said that the mike of the opposition is switched off in the Parliament. In the midst of all this, a discussion has been scheduled in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly on a private motion against the BBC. The motion states that the BBC is active with a hidden agenda. It has been mentioned in the resolution that the way the documentary casts blame on the state government is contrary to the constitutional and judicial process of the country. It states that the Gujarat government had appointed a two-member Nanavati-Shah commission (comprising justices GT Nanavati and KG Shah). Both the commissions agreed that the 2002 Godhra burning of the Sabarmati Express was a well-planned conspiracy. The communal riots that followed were spontaneous. In such a situation, the state government cannot be blamed.
