Google I/O 2022 will be hosted virtually. The company will be told about the new Android 13 services at I/O 2022. A beta version release is expected to be available for the Pixel smartphones. Other companies can also introduce it in their devices soon. More details about the update rollout will be given at the event on May 11. For now, here we are giving you the possible information.

Android 13 Features
Android 13 will not be offered with a bigger design. Google may also make some minor improvements to its Material U design introduced in Android 12. The developer preview reveals that the upcoming Android update will give users a chance to choose a theme for the icons like the rest of the user interface. However, this feature is likely to be exclusive to Pixel smartphones. The company may also add a monochrome icon to the app to allow developers to change the icon theme.

The new Android 13 update will allow users to choose from a different design of the watch on the lock screen. The Now Playing widget will also get an overhaul where the controls have been moved up a bit. A report by Android Police has revealed that the Android 13 update may introduce a new tap-to-transfer (TTT) system that will allow users to pass media controls to other devices. However, it is not yet known how this feature will work but we can expect that Android 13 will rely on NFC or ultra-wideband (UWB) technology.

Google is also said to include Fast Pair in Android 13. Therefore, connecting to your compatible Bluetooth accessories will be easy and fast.

Android 13 will also bring a new photo picker feature that allows users to securely share photos and videos with other apps. This upcoming update will allow users to set specific languages for the different apps they use. It may differ from the language used throughout the system.

Apart from this, Google will also introduce a new feature in Android 13 for which users will have to give permission for notifications. This is much like Android 12, where users had to give certain permissions to individual apps to access location, camera or microphone.
