The foldable smartphone technology has improved significantly and Samsung has launched two new foldable devices this year. Xiaomi is also going to bring a new foldable phone to compete with the South Korean brand. It has been revealed that a 108-megapixel primary camera will be found in it. Xiaomi’s foldable phone can be launched early next year and it has been detected by XDA developers with the help of the code of MIUI 12.
The latest custom MIUI skin code mentions a foldable device ‘cetus’ and the device is said to work on Android 11. Currently, the public rollout of MIUI has been confirmed till Android 10, so a new twisted phone is expected to come next year. According to the timeline, the first foldable product from Xiaomi can be announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2021.
Flagship processor and camera
If the rest of the details surfaced, then the chipset of Snapdragon 800 series will be found in it. This device can come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor, or it can also be given the company’s next year’s flagship Snapdragon 875. The flagship status of the foldable phone is known by the fact that the company is offering a 108 megapixel camera. So far, the same sensor is being given in the devices of Xiaomi Mi 10 series and so far no powerful camera sensor has been seen in any foldable phone.
Heinz Mechanism will be under watch
If the company has decided to compete with Samsung in the foldable segment, then the hinge mechanism of the foldable phone can be quite powerful. Everyone will have their eyes on how the device folds and how durable it is. The first Galaxy Fold launched by Samsung faced a lot of problems after its launch and the company had also canceled pre-orders. It will be better for Xiaomi to enter the device market only after the testing is complete.
