Now the Indian government has once again blocked 348 apps in the country. Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajiv Chandrashekhar said this in Parliament on Wednesday. Rajiv Chandrashekhar has made this disclosure on the question of Lok Sabha MP Rodmal Nagar. Rodmal Nagar had asked Rajeev Chandrasekhar whether the government has identified apps sending data of people outside the country and if there are such applications, what action has been taken against them? Have they been banned?
In response to this question, Rajiv Chandrashekhar said that 348 such apps have been blocked in India which were violating security by sending country’s data. These apps were such that users were sending data outside the country. This is not right for the sovereignty and integrity of India. Rajiv also said that these apps have been made not only in China but also in many other countries.
It is worth noting that some time back the popular battle royale game, Battleground Mobile India was banned in India. The Indian government had banned this game because it was being said about this game that this game is sending the data of users outside the country. After this, on July 28, instructions were also given to remove this game from Google Play Store and iOS Store. This game is blocked under section 69A of IT Act and this game has been removed from both the platforms. Even before this, the Indian government has banned the very famous Tiktop app.
