Samsung is focusing a lot on its Galaxy-M series. In the last few months, the company has launched many devices in this series. These devices have strengthened Samsung’s hold in the mid-range segment. A few days ago in this series, the company launched its new device Samsung Galaxy M32. The phone has been launched in two variants 4 GB + 64 GB and 6 GB + 128 GB. Its starting price is Rs 14,999. The company gave us a chance to review the 4 GB RAM variant of this phone. So let’s know how much the Galaxy M32 could live up to the company’s claims and real world performance.
Would love the design of the phone
As soon as you open the retail box of Samsung Galaxy M32, your attention will be on its premium look. The display of the phone is notch design. At the same time, its back panel comes with a glossy textured finish. Despite having a plastic back and frame, it still feels quite luxurious and up-market. A straight line texture has been used on the back panel, which changes shade according to the light. The back panel looks like glass and the special thing is that it does not have fingerprints and spots.
The fingerprint sensor given in the phone is fast
The square camera module is given on the top left in the back panel, which houses four cameras. The LED flash is below the camera bump and at the bottom here you will find Samsung’s badging. At the bottom of the phone, you will find speaker grille with microphone, USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack. Fingerprint sensor has been given in the right edge of the phone, which works very fast.
Best-in-class display on Galaxy M32
The displays of Samsung smartphones are always the best in the segment. Same is the case with Galaxy M32. In this phone, the company is giving a 6.4-inch Full HD + display. Colors look great in the display. This display gives a tough competition to the display of any smartphone coming in this segment. This Super AMOLED display is equipped with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The combo of high refresh rate and Super AMOLED screen makes the video watching and gaming experience superb on this phone. The outdoor visibility of the display is also good. However, if the company had given a smaller punch-hole display instead of the Infinity-U, then the screen experience could be a bit better.
Can become a companion of photography
For photography, you will get to see the quad rear camera setup in this phone. It has an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
The 64 megapixel primary camera given in the phone clicks a great picture. The photos taken with this camera are quite vibrant and bright. However, this camera is not able to capture moving objects as clearly and you may find the photo output a bit blurry. However, this will not bother you much and it cannot be called a deal breaker either.
The ultra-wide angle camera of the phone plays its job well. This makes wide-angle shots very good. If we talk about macro lens and depth sensor, then it would not be wrong to call their performance the best in the segment.
20MP front camera for selfie and video calling
There is a 20-megapixel camera on the front of the phone for selfie. This camera clicks very clear photos and the edges are also quite sharp in it. With the front camera, you can also take selfies in portrait mode. The front camera comes with Night Mode, which performs well in low-light. For selfie lovers, some in-built filters have been given in it, which will be liked by many users. You can also shoot HD and Full HD videos with the front and rear camera setup of the phone.
processor and software
The company is offering the octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 chipset in this phone with up to 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage. This processor makes multi-tasking and gaming quite smooth in the phone. We did video streaming and played games like Call of Duty while keeping many apps open on it, but this phone did not lag even once. This phone works on Samsung’s One UI 3.1 operating system based on Android 11.
Strong battery of 6,000 mAh in the phone
The company is offering a 6000mAh battery in the phone, which lasts two days comfortably in normal use. Even if you do heavy gaming and watch a lot of online videos, it gives good backup on a single charge. To charge the phone, a 15-watt charger has been provided in the retail box, which takes about one and a half to two hours to fully charge this battery. It would have been better if the company offered at least a 25W charger with it. Some Chinese companies are also offering fast charging up to 33W in this price range. In such a situation, Samsung lags a little behind in this matter.
Buy or not?
Samsung Galaxy M32 is a value for money device for normal usage. In this, you are being offered a 64-megapixel primary camera with a decent processor, 6000mAh battery and Super AMOLED display. The biggest thing is the trust of the Samsung brand is also associated with this phone. At the same time, if you look at Realme, Xiaomi, their smartphone portfolio is also very strong in this range and they also have many smartphones in competition with Galaxy M32. However, there is no doubt that the Galaxy M32 has the power to give a tough competition to any company’s smartphone in this range due to its features and specifications.
