How to make challan on NSDL website?

step 1 : First of all you have to open the official website of NSDL https://onlineservices.tin.egov-nsdl.com/etaxnew/tdsnontds.jsp.

Step 2: Here you have to select Non-TDS/TCS category under Challan No./ITNS 280 on the Tax Payment page.

Step 3: On the next page you have to select the head ‘(0021)’ followed by ‘(500)’.

Step 4: Scroll down and select payment mode. Here you have to pay by selecting the PAN card details and assessment year 2023-24 and filling all the asked information carefully.

You have to process the PAN to Aadhaar linking process after four or five days after the successful payment of the challan. So that your payment details get verified without any hassle. Here we are giving you information about how to link Aadhaar card with PAN online.

How to link pan card with aadhaar

step 1: First of all, you have to open the Income Tax e-filing portal https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/. Here you have to tap on ‘Link Aadhaar’ on the quick link.

Step 2: On the next page you have to enter PAN and Aadhaar number.

Step 3: If the PAN card is already linked with another Aadhaar, then you will get to see the error message. In this case, you will have to lodge a complaint with the e-filing helpdesk. If it is not so, then after Aadhaar and PAN card validation, Aadhaar authentication has to be done through OTP.

If the payment of the challan is verified on NSDL, then you have to follow the steps given below.

step 1: After the PAN R Aadhaar data is validated, you will get to see a pop up “Your payment details are verified” message. Now you have to submit the Aadhaar link request by clicking on the ‘Continue’ button.

Step 2: In the new page, you have to fill PAN number, Aadhaar number and name and phone number details.

Step 3: On the next page, you have to enter the six digit OTP received in the mobile number. In this way the request of Aadhaar link with your PAN will be completed.

If the challan is not verified by you then you will have to wait for a few days. Along with this, you have to register a complaint at the e-filing helpdesk.

How to know whether Aadhaar card is linked with PAN card or not?

After June 30, all such PAN cards which are not linked to Aadhaar card will become invalid. In such a situation, whether the PAN card is linked to Aadhaar or not, it can be easily ascertained. For this you have to follow the steps given below.

step 1: First of all, you have to open the tax e-filing portal https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal and click on ‘Link Aadhaar Status’.

Step 2: On the new page, you have to fill PAN and Aadhaar number and click on ‘View Link Aadhaar Status’.

If your Aadhaar is not linked with PAN card then you will get the information in the pop-up message. You can link Aadhaar with PAN by the process mentioned above.
