Airtel, the country’s leading telecom company, has once again shocked its customers. According to the Economic Times report, Airtel has increased the price of its base prepaid plan in all 22 circles of the country. Airtel’s base plan was earlier Rs 99, which the company has now increased to Rs 155. That is, to keep Airtel’s number active, users will now have to recharge Rs 155 every month.

Airtel wants to increase revenue

Airtel is focusing on increasing users on its average revenue. The company had increased the price of prepaid plans last year as well. Telecom company had increased the price of base plan in some states of Kolkata, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh in November 2022 itself.

The Economic Times report quoted a top company official as saying that the move is an attempt to take the ARPU (average revenue per user) above the Rs 200 mark. Airtel’s ARPU in December 2022 was Rs 193.

Airtel Rs 155 plan

After increasing the price of Airtel prepaid plans, users will have to recharge at least Rs 155 every month in all 22 circles of the country. Along with this, benefits like Wynk Music, Hello Tune are also available in this plan of Airtel. Earlier, Airtel’s Rs 99 plan offered talk time and 200MB of data. The validity of this plan is 28 days.
