4.13 pm: Website Crash

11.05 am: In view of Kovid-19 this year, some facilities were given to NEET candidates for the first time. For example, after the examination for the first time this year, NTA gave students a chance to rectify some fundamental mistakes in their application.

9.56 am: This examination was taken in offline mode (pen-paper) for admission in MBBS and BDS courses in medical colleges.

Only those students who had medical certificate related to Kovid-19 were given entry in the examination centers. Due to lack of information, some students could not take the exam in the second time also.
9.42 am: Finally, on 13 September 2020, following the strict safety standards in view of Kovid-19, nearly 14 lakh students took the exam at over 3500 centers across the country.
9.35 am: The governments of 6 states had also petitioned the Supreme Court to postpone the examination. But the court rejected all such petitions, refusing to postpone the examination for the third time.
9.27 am: This year Kovid-19 had to postpone the examination of NEET UG twice. There was a demand to extend its date for the third time also. Many political parties and leaders and ministers from the student union were opposed to the examination on 13 September.
9.20 am: On 14 October 2020, NEET was re-examined. It was for those candidates who could not appear for the September 13 examination due to being in Kovid Positive or Containment Zones. It was attended by around 290 students.
9.13 am: This examination was conducted across the country on 13 September 2020. 15.97 lakh students from all over the country had registered for it.
9.05 am: According to official sources, the NTA will announce the result by 4 pm today. However, the agency has not made any official confirmation regarding the timing of the result. It has been decided that the result will come today.
