Raksha Bandhan Prediction: ‘Raksha Bandhan’ loses on the first day, ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ will win, know how much it will earn

In the year 2022, two films of Akshay Kumar have been released at the box office and unfortunately both the films have been badly beaten. Now on Friday, he is bringing his third film of the year ‘Raksha Bandhan’. This film, made on the relationship of brothers and sisters, is also being released on August 11, on the occasion of Rakhi. But this time another big problem in front of Akshay Kumar is the collision with ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. Aamir Khan’s film is also releasing on Friday. The advance booking figures of both the films have also been revealed and the chances are clear that ‘Raksha Bandhan’ will have to bow down to ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. Akshay Kumar’s wish would be that he repeats the success of ‘Sooryavanshi’ released in 2021 on the very first day, but it does not seem to be happening.

If you look at Akshay Kumar’s previous hit film, ‘Sooryavanshi’ was released on the occasion of Diwali. The film did a business of Rs 26.11 crore at the box office on the first day. Whereas Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bachchan Pandey’, released in 2022 this year, did a business of Rs 12.18 crore on the first day and ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ did a business of Rs 10.58 crore. Both these films proved to be disaster. In such a situation, while Akshay Kumar is yearning for a hit, the advance booking figures are also not seen doing anything special for him. Raksha Bandhan has earned Rs 4.50 crore from advance booking till Tuesday. This is the average earning at present. Because till now the Hindi film ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’, which took the biggest opening of the year, earned about 7 crores from advance booking. On the other hand, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s Laal Singh Chaddha has earned over Rs 11 crore from advance booking.

Akshay Kumar and Aanand L Rai both need a hit
‘Raksha Bandhan’ is releasing on 2500 screens across the country. The film is directed by Aanand L Rai, who is known for telling powerful stories on screen. But after the response received by ‘Zero’ and ‘Atrangi’, they are also struggling. ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is not a mega budget film. Its total budget is said to be Rs 70 crore. Apart from Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Bhumi Pednekar. Bhumi is known for her strong characters in her films, but it is a fact that her stardom is not one that pulls the audience to the theaters on its own.

Opinion: Not Aamir Khan with Lal Singh Chaddha’s Boycott, Akshay Kumar has lost sleepless nights, is there a strong ruckus?
Rakhi holiday on 11th August, Monday is also a holiday after the weekend
‘Raksha Bandhan’ may prove to be a ‘long race horse’ at the box office, but for this it will have to win the hearts of the audience. The film is definitely defeating ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ on the opening day, but if the audience likes the film and the story, then it can do long business. Especially when in the beginning of next week itself, on the occasion of 15th August, there will be a holiday of Independence Day. That is, the films of both Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan can get the benefit of the holiday of Raksha Bandhan on August 11 and then the holiday of August 15 on Monday after the weekend. Overall, the earnings of films will increase in the weekend and if all goes well, then on Monday also it will benefit.

How much will ‘Raksha Bandhan’ and ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ earn on the first day
‘Raksha Bandhan’ has earned Rs 4.5 crore from advance booking. The film has a little less buzz in the market than ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. But there is also a demand for boycott of this on social media. However, this social media trend does not seem to have any effect in advance booking. Overall, all the additions suggest that Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’ can earn Rs 12-14 crore at the box office on the first day. Whereas in comparison, Aamir Khan’s ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ can do a business of Rs 15-17 crore. The good thing is that both the films together can earn close to Rs 30 crore in Bollywood’s account on Friday. This is definitely a good news between the Corona period and the films flopping continuously.
