NCB files charges against Riya Chakraborty in court, next hearing will be held on July 12

The court has not decided the charges yet
Special Public Prosecutor Atul Sarpande has said that charges have been framed against all the accused in the charge sheet. While filing this draft chargesheet, he has said that Rhea Chakraborty and Sauvik had used drugs and traded it for Sushant Singh Rajput. He has also said that the court was about to frame the charges against all the accused but it could not happen as some of the accused have filed discharge applications.

Hearing will be held on July 12
The court has said that until the discharge application is decided, charges cannot be framed. Riya Chakraborty and her brother Shouvik Chakraborty were present in the court during the proceedings on Wednesday. Special judge VG Raghuvanshi will now hear the matter on July 12.

Riya was in jail for 1 month
Let us inform that Riya Chakraborty was arrested on September 2020 after the drugs angle came to the fore in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Riya got bail from the Bombay High Court after being in jail for about 1 month. Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his Mumbai flat on 14 June 2020. Right now the CBI is also investigating this matter on the orders of the Supreme Court, but the agency has not reached any conclusion yet.
