There are stars here who are willing to pay back when they fail!

Every movie is the work of many people. If movies fail in theaters, there is not only labor but also financial loss. There is now a boycott trend in Bollywood. All categories will be responsible for the failure of the film, but those who have received a large amount of money financially will be the main actors in it. Moreover, it is often the actors who play the lead roles in the film who have to bear the burden of success and failure. There are many actors who are willing to pay back the money to cover the loss due to the failure of the film. Vijay Devarakonda is the latest in this group. Vijay Devarakonda returned a portion of his remuneration to the makers after the much-anticipated box office failure of ‘Ligari’.

Vijay Devarakonda’s film ‘Ligar’ hit the theaters on August 25. The film was released as a pan-Indian release. The film marked Vijay’s Hindi debut and actress Ananya Pandey’s Telugu debut. This movie is directed by Puri Jagannath. But very soon there were reports that the film was a flop. There are unconfirmed reports that Vijay Devarakonda was paid Rs 35 crore for this film. After the failure of the film, Vijay returned Rs 6 crore.

Aamir Khan’s ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ was one of the most anticipated releases of the year, just like Ligar. The film released on August 11 but failed at the theatres. Although there were reports that the film received good reviews outside India, the film was generally hailed as a flop. With this, reports surfaced that Aamir had returned some of his remuneration to the producers. But the producers responded that there was no loss. Let’s take a look at other actors who have returned their money for such failed films.

Among these actors, King Khan is one of the most willing to return the money. Shah Rukh Khan has paid back money many times to cover the financial loss of his films’ failure. After the flop of 2015’s ‘Dilwale’ directed by Rohit Shetty, the actor reportedly returned 50 per cent of the distribution cost to the producers. After ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ failed at the box office in 2017, Shah Rukh returned 30 percent of the distribution cost and 15 percent to NH Studios. Similarly, after ‘Ashoka’ released in 2001 and ‘Paheli’ in 2005 failed at the box office, there were reports that Shah Rukh Khan returned the money to the distributors.

Salman Khan is a very popular actor in Bollywood. Salman films are generally successful in theatres. But Kabir Khan’s 2017 film ‘Tubelight’ was a big loss at the box office. Salman returned Rs 32 crore to compensate the loss to the distributors.

Not only Bollywood stars, South Indian stars are also ready to take the responsibility of this kind of failure. Actor Rajinikanth is also ready to return the money. The 2002 film ‘Baba’ failed to impress the audience at the theaters and suffered huge losses at the box office. There were reports that Rajinikanth made up for the losses incurred by the film. Similarly, Rajini’s film Linka was also a huge failure. Linka was released in 2014. He also made up for the failure of ‘Linka’ by returning Rs 10 crore to the distributors.
