The interrogation of director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, who was arrested on the complaint of Manju Warrier, continued at the Kochi Elamakkara police station this morning. Sanal has been charged with a number of offenses punishable by bail. Therefore, it is likely that he will be released after the arrest is registered. After checking the phone of the accused, the police will take a final decision on whether to charge more departments. Police have registered a case against Manju Warrier for allegedly insulting and harassing her on social media. Sanalkumar told the media last night that the police were fabricating a case. Sanalkumar said that he was innocent and did not follow Manju.

Manju has been complaining that Sanal has been harassing her since August 2019. Sanal Kumar Sasidharan made a love proposal through social media, phone and through relatives and friends. Manju had said in her complaint that she was harassed after being denied this. Sanal Kumar was taken into custody by the police team who reached the mafthi from near the Parashala Mahadeva temple in Thiruvananthapuram. But after this, Sanalkumar put it live on Facebook. It was alleged that the life was in danger and that it was an attempt to kidnap.

When the Parashala police arrived, Sanal Kumar was forced into a vehicle by the police. The movie Kayattam starring Manju is directed by Sanal. Sanal is also facing charges of intimidation and harassment through social media. The Elamakkara police have registered a case under section 354D. Sanal is charged with harassing and monitoring. If convicted, the offense is punishable by up to three years in prison.
