“New roles, new venue”: Mastermind ‘Lizzy’ follows 80s star reunion

Like the couplets of a Malayalam movie song, “Memories did not run to the root and to this good shore, we did not play…” Orma, the evergreen stars of Indian cinema, gathered again in Mumbai. In the 1980s, when Indian cinema underwent major changes, it was a gathering of people who were full of Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam languages. This is the 11th time that the friendly meeting of the stars is taking place.

Previously, Bangalore and Chennai were the meeting places of the stars. Now in Mumbai, it was led by stars Poonam Dhillon and Jackie Shroff. Earlier, Mohanlal and Rajinikanth were regulars in this friendly crowd. This time both of them could not attend. Suhasini, the actress and director, is at the helm of this star gathering. But its mastermind is actress Lizzy. Lizzy shared the details of the star meeting held in Mumbai on November 12 through social media.

“Eighties friends met in Mumbai on 12th. This was our 11th reunion. This year’s reunion was hosted by our Bollywood friends Poonam Dhillon and Jackie Shroff!! It was one of the heartwarming reunions. Tina Amabani, Anil Kapoor, Meenakshi Seshadri, Padmini Kolhapuri and Vidya Balan were our first time. Part of it. The gathering was a joy for all. It was an idea I shared with Suhasini Mani Ratnam 13 years ago. Together we grew it into the biggest private gathering of film stars in India during these times. I’m proud to have started it. We all said our goodbyes with the promise of seeing you next year. New roles and a new venue. !! Can’t wait!” Lizzie notes:
