Actor Mohanlal has been criticized by MES state president Dr. Fazal Ghafoor. He was speaking in connection with the OTT release controversy of the film Marakkar. He said that when OTT platforms provide movies, they only make profits for the monopolies and the government is also making huge profits by deciding to show them in cinemas.

‘Recently we have seen discussions on whether woodcarvers should be given to ODT or given to theaters. OTT is in the hands of monopolies. The government will not get a single rupee from it. Once the film industry collapses, the OTT will cut rates. They will not offer any of these rates once the theaters are destroyed. I think Mohanlal is a fool. It was Mohanlal who destroyed Malayalam cinema, four films at a time, like baking bread, made a film in 15 days, I don’t even know what the script is, anyway the CM intervened.

In one day the picture changed everything. As the students go to the principal’s room Mohanlal Fazal Ghafoor has said that he went to the CM’s room and came back and said, “I do not know what happened and then there should be no commotion.”

Fazal Ghafoor was speaking at the inauguration of a media studio-psychology lab at MES Arts and Science College in Perinthalmanna. The video of Fazal Ghafoor preaching has been released by Media One channel. Mohanlal’s Marakkar Arabian Sea Lion will be released on December 2.
