187 films from 70 countries will be screened at the festival which starts from December 9. IFFK will screen 12 of these films for the first time in the world. will be on stage. All 187 films will be screened in four categories namely International Premiere, World Premiere, Asian Premiere and Indian Premiere and a special category of Director / Curator / Guest Present. International competition films will be screened in the International Premiere category.

14 films will be screened in the international competition category and 78 films in the world cinema category. 12 films will be screened in the Malayalam Cinema Today section and 7 films in the Indian Cinema Now section. Along with this, five silent films and a special screening of the films Swayamvaram and Thump, which will complete 50 years, have been organized. It has been prepared for exhibition in 14 theaters.
In the competition category, the prize money is Rs 20 lakh for the film that is awarded the Suvarna Chakoram, Rs 4 lakh for the best director for the Silver Chakoram and Rs 3 lakh for the best debutant director. Two lakh rupees to the director of the film which deserves the audience award. R. Mohanan Endowment Award will also be given to the best debutant director in India with Rs.1 lakh. The fair starts on December 9 and ends on December 16. More than 200 filmmakers will be guests and more than 1200 delegates will participate in the fair.
