Police have registered a case against Mani Ratnam for killing his horse during the shooting two days ago. The case is based on a complaint filed by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). Since it was a historical film, there were several horses on the set for the shoot. Thus a horse brought in for the set shoot was dead. The incident took place on the 11th of last month. Following this, the police had registered a case against the management of Mani Ratnam’s production house Madras Talkies and the owner of the horse.
