John Abraham while talking to our colleague ETimes said, ‘I like OTT as a producer but not as an actor. I make films for this medium and its audience but as an actor, I only want to be on the big screen. Let us tell you that John Abraham is also a producer. He produced the film ‘Vicky Donor’ in 2012, from which Ayushmann Khurrana made his debut. After this he produced ‘Madras Kaif’ in 2013 in which he also acted.
‘I am the hero of the big screen’
John Abraham said that he does not want people to see him on their small screens by watching 299 or 499 rupees a month. John also said that he would feel very bad when someone at home would stop midway while watching his film. John said that he is the “hero of the big screen” and wants to be the same forever. He said, ‘I will now do only those films which will be released on the big screen. I don’t want anyone to stop my film on their tablet and go to the washroom. Also I am not ready to sell for 299 or 499 rupees a month. That’s the only problem I have with OTT.
John’s last many films have been flops
Although John Abraham may be calling himself a hero of the big screen, but his last 5 films have flopped continuously. John Abraham’s ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’, ‘Batla House’, ‘Pagalpanti’, ‘Mumbai Saga’, ‘Satyamev Jayate 2’ and ‘Attack’ have been consistent flops and have received mixed reviews from critics.
Now John will be seen in these films
Talking about the work front, John Abraham’s next film ‘Ek Villain Returns’ is going to release on July 29. Apart from John, Tara Sutaria, Disha Patani, Aditya Roy Kapur and Arjun Kapoor are also going to be seen in this film, directed by Mohit Suri. Apart from this, John Abraham is also going to be seen in Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Pathan’.
