Announced the announcement of cult show ‘Humsafar’ starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, ‘Dhoop Ki Deewar’ by Sajal Ali and Ahad Raza Mir and short film ‘Toba Tek Singh’ directed by Ketan Mehta starring Pankaj Kapur.

This includes shows like ‘Humsafar’ by Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan, ‘Dhoop Ki Deewar’ by Sajal Ali and Ahad Raza Mir and Toba Tek Singh directed by Ketan Mehta, starring Pankaj Kapur and Vinay Pathak in lead roles. It is a cult favourite, which has a great pairing of Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan. It will air on 9th August at 7 pm on Zindagi’s VAS platforms Dish TV, d2h and Tata Play. After the stupendous success of ‘Sadke Tumhare’, Mahira Khan is once again back to enthrall the audience with her beauty and effortless acting.

The next addition in the line-up is ‘Dhoop Ki Deewar’, a post-war take on the situation, which will release on 10th August at 8:30 PM. Written by Umera Ahmed, the show shows that the thing that unites us all despite being divided due to war is sadness. Taking the viewers closer to the lives of the families of the martyrs of the war, the show rightly narrates the pain and loss of these families of both the countries. Featuring mom-turned-actors Sajal Ali and Ahad Raza Mir in lead roles, the show appeals to the audience for peace and love.

‘Wall of Sunshine’ Loss, Life and Family Story
Expressing excitement on the return of her show on Zindagi DTH service, Sajal Ali said, ‘Dhoop Ki Deewar’ is a story of loss, life and family. This story unites people despite differences and is relevant. This special line-up also includes Toba Tek Singh, a satire on the relations between India and Pakistan after the 1947 Partition. Its best cast includes veteran actors Pankaj Kapur and Vinay Pathak, etc. The film revolves around a patient named Bishan Singh, who is in an insane asylum in Lahore and who had to leave everything and go across the border due to partition. Toba Tek Singh directed by Ketan Mehta narrates the story of displacement and pain that people suffered due to Partition. The premiere of this film will take place on August 14 at 8 pm.

The story of Haniya and Ibad

There will also be special offers for the audiences of other popular series like ‘Meri Jaan Hai Tu’ which is a romantic drama. It depicts the story of Haniya and Ibad, who fight against all evil for the sake of love. Apart from this, there is the comedy drama ‘Suno Chanda’ of Arslan and Ajiya, who get married to fulfill their grandfather’s last wish. Kitne Girhe Baaki Hai is an anthology series, which throws light on the evils of patriarchal society.
