The re-make of 1995’s Coolie Number One may be getting mixed reactions. But the film released on the OTT platform on 25 December is performing well. The film is directed by David Dhawan, who directed the film in 1995. Re-Mek stars her son Varun Dhawan and actress Sara Ali Khan. In the film, there is a kissing scene between the two actors, on which David has spoken.

We are professionals, ashamed – David
David Dhawan was recently asked during an interview whether there was any problem while filming his son’s kissing? David Dhawan replied that there was no difficulty and there was no embarrassment. We are professionals and we are doing our work.

If the demand for the script was done
David Dhawan said that when we were shooting, I did not look at Varun and asked him whether we should do it or not. I told him to do it. The demand for the script was of a kissing scene, so we did it. Kissing scenes have become very light in Hindi films nowadays.

David says – When doing this professionally, it is not difficult. You don’t look around here and there. Hey friend my son is doing it. Feel ashamed Hey friend, why are you ashamed? there’s nothing like this. Nowadays everything is practical. Now whether hero-heroines do it or not, it is up to them.

David and Varun did 3 films together
David Dhawan has directed his son Varun in 3 films. I include Tera Hero, Twin-2 and Coolie Number One.
