Commotion before shooting
Good luck Jerry’s team in Bassi Pathanan, Punjab, faced opposition from farmers. The shooting was stopped by the agitators. After this incident, the film unit was given the assurance of not working on the film until the farmers were not satisfied. Also, Jahnavi Kapoor put a status on the side of farmers on his social media account, then shooting could resumed elsewhere.
Inspired by 9 year old Tamil film
Janhvi Kapoor will be seen in the role of Young Politics for the first time through Good Luck Jerry. It is inspired by the 2011 Tamil political thriller ‘Ko’. The role of heroine Karthika Nair and Hero was played by Jeeva. The director was KV Anand. The same story is set in the North’s surroundings.
This is Laika Productions’ second project in Hindi after Robot 2.0. Jahnavi’s character tries to improve the system by staying in the system even after venturing out into the world of journalism. Another special news related to the film is that 19 years ago, Uncle Anil Kapoor had played something similar in the protagonist.
The film is definitely inspired by ‘Ko’, but it is not being remade in Hindi from the director of the same film, KV Anand. Instead, it is being directed by Siddharth Sen Gupta, a well-known name in Mumbai’s ad industry.
