Aamir Khan played the childhood character of Tariq Khan i.e. Ratan in this film. The story of the film is such that Shankar (Dharmendra), Vijay (Vijay Arora), and Ratan (Tariq Khan) are three brothers and one day on their father’s birthday, their mother teaches them a song ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat’. One day these children are seen by Shakal and his goons committing a crime and before they reach the police, they kill the husband and wife. Shankar and Vijay see all this and run away and on the way these brothers get separated. After this, there are many such occasions in life, the three brothers meet each other many times, but do not recognize each other, but then due to the same song, they come to know that they are brothers.
