You can get admission in Delhi University even without CUET, know how?

Every year lakhs of students apply for admission in undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Delhi University. But due to the limited number of seats, only a select few get admission. In such a situation, there are a large number of students who are left out of taking admission in UG-PG courses. This year admission is also being given through CUET score. In this way, taking admission of students with low scores also seems difficult. However, students need not despair as they have another way to take admission in Delhi University.

Actually, through Delhi University's School of Open Learning (DU SOL), students have a chance to take admission in UG and PG courses. The thing to note here is that for this, students will not even need CUET score. The registration process for DU SOL has started from October 5. This year DU has also introduced six new UG, PG programs which include MBA, BBA, BMS, BA (Hons) Economics, BA Library of Information Sciences and MA Library of Information Sciences.

For admission under SOL in DU, candidates have to visit the official website sol.du.ac.in. The last date to register for admission under SOL is October 31. DU SOL has adopted the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) 2022 under the National Education Policy (NEP). UG degree is going to be of three or four years. Who can take admission in DU SOL?

To take admission in undergraduate courses, students must have passed 12th class with at least 40 percent marks. However, for admission in special courses like B.Com, students should have at least 60 percent marks in class 12th.

In which courses will admission be given?

BA (Program), BA (Hons) English, BA (Hons) Political Science, BCom (Hons), BCom, BA (Hons) Economics, BBA (Financial Investment Analysis), Bachelor in Management Studies (BMS), Bachelor of Library and Students can take admission in Information Sciences (BLISc), Master of Library and Information Sciences (MLISc).

It is not necessary for a candidate to have CUET score to apply for DU SOL admission. For admission in UG courses, the 12th class number will be looked at.
