IAS Saumya Pandey belongs to 2016 batch. He had cleared the UPSC exam in the first attempt. Talking about Soumya’s academic record, she had scored 98% in class 10th and 97.8% in class 12th. Apart from this, she was also a Gold Medalist in Engineering College.
IAS Saumya Pandey tells that she had given the exam in 2016. The result came in 2017. He had downloaded the PDF file of UPSC Civil Services Exam Result but could not muster the courage to see the name.
Only then his mother said that start looking at the name from below. When the name did not show up, Saumya looked at her mother and said that she would prepare better in the next attempt and pass the exam.

When my name came in the toppers, my mother and I could not believe it. Could not believe that the roll number and name written in the list is mine only.
