Every year, lakhs of candidates apply for UPSC exam, but only a small percentage of candidates are able to crack the posts like IAS, IPS, IFS. There are three stages in UPSC exam, prelims exam, mains exam followed by interview and the last stage.
First of all, let us tell you that before appearing in the IAS interview, candidates have to fill the Detailed Application Form (DAF). This form is an important part of the interview process. It is mandatory to complete this form before appearing for UPSC Mains exam. The information given in the DAF is used as the basis for the questions asked during the UPSC interview. In such a situation, let us know what questions were asked to IAS Krishna Kumar in the interview.

Question- How is this morning?
Krishna Kumar- This morning is very enjoyable, sir.
Question- Are you sure?
Krishna Kumar- Yes sir
Question- Presently working in RBI and you are posted in Shimla. The weather there will be quite pleasant. Is it snowing in Shimla at the moment?
Krishna Kumar- Yes sir. The weather in Shimla is generally good. It was snowing till last week, but it is not snowing this time.
Question- Tell the historical importance of Shimla.
Krishna Kumar- Sir, Shimla was given the status of summer capital during the British Raj period. It reflects many historic structures of British architecture.
After independence, it served as the capital of Punjab. However, in 1971, it became the capital of Himachal Pradesh.
Question- You are working in Reserve Bank of India (RBI). What are your views on demonetization?
Krishna Kumar- I believe that the decision of demonetization was taken keeping public interest in mind. Whose objective was to eliminate black money. However, I feel this could have been done more successfully.

IPS Krishna was working as a manager in the Reserve Bank of India. He has a graduation degree in Computer Engineering. He studied at Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology. First of all, he passed the UPSC CSE exam in the beginning of the year 2018, in which he secured 181st rank. After which he achieved 24th rank in the year 2020.
