Pratiksha Tondwalkar started a job as a sweeper in SBI's Mumbai branch after the death of her husband at the age of just 20. Born in the year 1964 in Pune, Maharashtra, Pratiksha got married at the age of 16. Her husband used to work as a book binder in SBI. Shortly after the marriage, her husband died in a road accident.

At the age of just 20, Pratiksha became a widow. On his shoulders came the responsibility of a son and the whole family. Due to not being able to complete studies, he could not get a good job. In SBI, Pratiksha became a sweeper. For this work, he used to get 60 to 65 rupees a month.

Pratiksha, when she used to see people doing desk work in the bank, their mind used to do the same. For this he decided to give 10th examination. Bank employees also helped a lot in his studies.
