University Of Delhi: New session begins in DU from August 16, special preparations to welcome students

The session 2023-24 in Delhi University (DU) will start from Wednesday. Special preparations have been made for the reception in the colleges of DU’s North and South Campus. Online session launch program has also been organized in many colleges. Special arrangements were made for orientation at Atmaram Sanatan Dharma College, South Campus. College Principal Prof. Gyantosh Jha told that many respected former students have also been invited in the program, so that they can inspire new students. Apart from the group orientation programme, there will be separate introductions by the teachers in the classes. Apart from this, stalls of societies will be set up so that students can be a part of music, drama and sports.

Hansraj College will also have an orientation program in the traditional way. Apart from teacher-student dialogue, religious rituals will also be organized here like every year.
Principal of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar College, East Delhi, Prof. RN Dubey said that the orientation program will be held from 10.30 am and special care has been taken to ensure that the students do not face any kind of problem.

The process of online orientation has ended in some other colleges including South Delhi’s Ramlal Anand College. Now students will come here to study. Principal of DU’s Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences, Prof. Payal Mago told that a sessional program will be organized here on August 20.

Teams constituted for ragging
Posters have been put up in the campus to prevent ragging in DU. Not only this, special teams have been formed in North and South Campus to prevent any kind of ragging. Apart from this, Proctor’s Office Art Faculty in North Campus will specially monitor. DU has also issued a helpline number for the students to solve any kind of problem.
