UGC released the latest list of fake universities, maximum in UP and Delhi, see full list

University Grants Commission (UGC) has released the latest list of fake universities. According to the list released on the official website of UGC, maximum 8 fake universities are running in Delhi. After this, 4 fake universities are operating in Uttar Pradesh, 2 each in Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal and 1 each in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala and Puducherry. On behalf of UGC, it has been said that these institutions are giving degrees contrary to the provisions of the UGC Act. The degrees awarded by such universities will neither be recognized nor valid for higher education or employment purposes. These universities do not have the authority to confer any degree.

UGC has issued instructions to the concerned states urging them to take necessary steps against these fake universities. The Commission says that the concerned states should take care that no student should be admitted to these fake universities.
