Speech On Gandhi Jayanti: Give this wonderful speech on Gandhi Jayanti, it will fill you with enthusiasm

Speech On Gandhi Jayanti: Today on 2nd October we are celebrating the 154th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. He was born on 2 October 1869 in Porbandar, Gujarat. In the freedom struggle, many such movements took place under the leadership of Gandhiji which broke the back of the British Empire in India. Due to Bapu’s movements based on truth and non-violence, the British’s grip on India started loosening. Mahatma Gandhi has become revered not only for Indians, but for the whole world with his thoughts. His statues at various places in foreign countries are proof of this. Gandhiji was an ideal not only for us but also for leaders like Martin Luther King in America, Nelson Mandela in South Africa and Aung San Suu Kyi in Myanmar. These leaders used Gandhian ideas to mobilize the oppressed people and promote their welfare. The British government, about which it was said that the sun never sets on its empire, he, along with the people of the country, showed the way back to foreignness by remaining firm on restraint and principles. Gandhi’s thoughts are not just for one era but his thoughts are the heritage of humanity for eternity.

Gandhi Jayanti speech 2023: You can give this speech on Gandhi Jayanti

… Respected teachers and my colleagues…
Today is 2nd October and not only the whole of India, but the whole world is celebrating Gandhi Jayanti. I am thankful to all of you that you gave me an opportunity to speak on a great man like Bapu. Mahatma Gandhi, who played a very important role in giving India independence from the British by following the path of truth and non-violence, was born on 2 October 1869 in Porbandar, Gujarat. Bapu’s thoughts regarding truth and non-violence have always guided not only India but the entire world and will continue to do so in future too. In honor of his thoughts, International Day of Non-Violence is also celebrated every year on 2 October.

Friends, Gandhiji used to say that cleanliness is the second most important thing after devotion. This is the reason why every year the government runs a large-scale cleanliness campaign on Gandhi Jayanti. This time too, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, many cleanliness related programs were planned across the country. With the efforts of the Central Government, Swachhta Hi Seva campaign is being run with full enthusiasm. During his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address, PM Modi had appealed to all citizens to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation with ‘Swachhanjali’. ‘One date, one hour, together’ campaign was launched. On the call of PM Modi, citizens donated one hour for cleanliness on October 1 at 10 am.

Gandhi Jayanti Speech: Give this short and simple speech on Gandhi Jayanti, you will get a reward

Due to the greatness of Mahatma Gandhi, his works and thoughts, October 2 has been given the status of a national festival like Independence Day and Republic Day. Gandhiji believed that you can never get your rights by following the path of violence. He adopted the path of Satyagraha to protest.

Mahatma Gandhi studied law in London. After obtaining a barrister degree from London, he did not consider it appropriate to become a big officer or a lawyer, but dedicated his entire life to the country. In his life he organized many movements against the British rule. He always kept fighting for the rights of the people. Champaran Satyagraha, Non-Cooperation Movement, Dandi Satyagraha, Dalit Movement, Quit India Movement were some of their major movements which played a big role in weakening the foundation of the British Empire.

Gandhiji continuously raised his voice against the evils like untouchability prevalent in the Indian society. He wanted to create a society in which all people would have equal status because everyone was created by the same God. They should not be discriminated against. He always strived for women empowerment. He inspired millions of Indians and people around the world to fight for their rights and freedom through non-violence.

Friends, on Gandhi Jayanti we should resolve to adopt the ideas of Gandhiji. This is the right time to realize the vision of self-reliant India by adopting Swadeshi. We can overcome economic challenges by telling the youth and children about the importance of indigenous things. Today, we should take a pledge to keep all public places including home, neighbourhood, railway station, tourist places clean. All his dreams will be fulfilled when we follow his ideals like peace, non-violence, truth, equality, respect for women. Will treat people of all classes in the society equally. Everyone will get equal rights.

Now I would like to put an end to my speech.

Thank you.
Jai Hind!
