In the government as well as private schools of Jharkhand, there will be morning from the month of April. For the next three months (till June 30) instead of the ongoing day shift in the schools, the schools will be operated in the morning shift. Government schools will start two hours earlier, while other private schools will also operate one to two hours earlier. At present, government schools operate from 9 am to 3 pm. With the morning shift, classes will run from 7 am to 1 pm. Due to April 1 being a Saturday, regular morning classes will start in schools from April 3.

As per the instructions of the Education Department, indoor and outdoor games will be conducted after morning shift classes. In such a situation, there is still confusion as to how the children will play in the open fields till 1 pm in the summer. Along with the teachers’ organizations, the MLAs in the Jharkhand assembly also raised their voice on this. But till now it has not been changed. In case of morning shift in government schools, teachers will have to reach by 6.45 am. There will be a prayer meeting from 7:00 to 7:15. After this, attendance will be taken in the class and the first bell will be from 7.25 minutes. The first two bells will be of 45-45 minutes and after that a break of five minutes will be given. The third, fourth and fifth bell will be of 40 minutes each. Time has been fixed for mid-day meal from 11 am to 11.30 am. After this, the sixth bell will be of 40 minutes, a break of five minutes and the seventh bell will be of 35 minutes. 10 minutes before the end of the school period, the children would unite and thank God for a good day. After this, indoor and outdoor games can be played for one hour.
