PG admission in Patna University will start from August 18, classes will start from September

Patna University (PU) has released the first merit list of candidates selected for admission to (PG) courses for the academic session 2023-25. Candidates can check the merit list on PU’s official website pup.ac.in and get their admission done in the respective departments from August 18 to August 22. More than 1200 students have been selected in 26 subjects of Science, Commerce and Arts streams in the first merit list of PG.

Patna University Dean Anil Kumar said, “The selected candidates will have to download their allotment letter with the help of application ID and password. After online submission of counseling fee, candidates must report to the respective departments for admission along with allotment letter, payment slip, print of application form and all their certificates in original and photocopies. The counseling will be done on August 18, 19, 21 and 22 from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. If a candidate fails to secure his/her admission within the given time period, his/her claim for admission will stand automatically terminated.

Patna University takes admission in PG conventional courses on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in their last qualifying examination. Officials said the admission process in PG courses is likely to be completed by the end of the month and classes for the new academic session may start from the beginning of September. The university has already completed the admission process for PG conventional courses and undergraduate courses this month.
