NMMS 2024-25: For the National Income and Merit Based Scholarship Scheme Examination 2024-25, this time 15 times applications will be made as compared to the prescribed seats in each district. Usha Chandra, Director of the School of Psychology, has instructed all the District School Inspectors and Basic Education Officers to apply online from the students who fulfill the necessary conditions for the examination. Students can apply for the examination proposed on 5th November 2023 in all the districts of the state till 18th September 2023.
The Director has expressed concern that very few applications are being received from each district compared to the prescribed quota. Last year, after a lot of efforts, 179971 students from the entire state had applied. Out of these, 145702 children appeared in the examination and only 14090 were successful. Therefore, out of 15143 quota (seats) fixed for UP, 1053 remained vacant. In such a situation, this year a target of 2,27,145 applications has been given against 15143 seats.
Special:
● Must have passed the 7th examination in the session 2022-23 with 55 percent marks (SC-ST five percent relaxation).
● Should be studying in class 8 in government, aided or council schools in the session 2023-24.
● The annual income of the parents should not be more than 3.50 lakhs.
