New medical colleges will open in Jammu and Kashmir before NEET UG counseling, there will be so many seats

National Eligibility Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG) Result has been declared. This is the reason why students are now waiting for the counseling process to start. At the same time, admission in MBBS courses will start after counseling. Meanwhile, the country has also started getting new medical colleges. In fact, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir is taking many steps to increase the medical facilities to provide better medical facilities to the people as well as to provide education to the students.

In this episode, many medical colleges have been opened in Jammu and Kashmir, including B.Sc Nursing College. The aim of the government is to provide easy medical education to the students of the Union Territory. Seven government nursing colleges have been opened within the Jammu province during the last two years and two more will be opened next year. Two years ago, there were only two nursing colleges in the entire Jammu and Kashmir with a capacity of 50 students each, whereas one had to go out for the B.Sc Nursing course. However, now the situation in Jammu and Kashmir has changed.

Medical colleges open in these cities

The government has approved Rs 60 crore for the provision of infrastructure, machinery and equipment in the nursing colleges of Jammu and Kashmir. Out of this, Rs 3.75 crore has been given to each college as the first installment. According to officials, five B.Sc Nursing colleges, including one each at Akhnoor, Udhampur, Reasi, Doda and Kishtwar, were the first batch of 2021-22 which started last year. At the same time, the second batch of medical college is going to start soon. Colleges were also opened in Kishtwar and Gangyal. The capacity of students in these seven new nursing colleges will be 450.
