You must have seen lakhs of job offers in the campus placements of students of IITs and NITs, but job offers of engineering department students of Jadavpur University have also gone high this year. Most of the engineering department students of Jadavpur University have a placement percentage of 95%. Not only this, the placement of Mechanical, Instrument and Electronic has been 100 percent. The placement of Computer Science and Printing Engineering students has been 97 percent. Electronics and telecommunication students got the highest package of 85 lakhs per annum. There are 35 students who have got packages ranging from 45 to 80 lakhs. And there are 100 students who have got an annual package ranging from 35 lakh to 45 lakh.
In a statement given to the Times of India website, Samita Bhattacharya, the placement officer of the university, said that the number of places placed in Arts and Science streams has been higher than last year. More than 80% students of the Economics department have got placements. He has got the maximum salary package of more than 16 lakhs. JU has got 1200 job offers and placement of around 1000 students.
Talking about recruiters, companies offering job offers include Google, Microsoft, Samsung, Citibank, HSBC. According to the NIRF ranking 2023, the name of Jadavpur University is included in the top-10 universities of the country. Jadavpur University is at number four after IIS, Bangalore, JNU and Jamia Millia Islamia.
