He told that I had passed the CPMT exam in the year 1992 and after a gap of almost 30 years, I again prepared for the medical entrance exam to guide and motivate my daughter. Father and daughter got different centers for NEET UG 2023. Dr Khaitan took the exam at Shivkuti center and his daughter Mithali at Jhunsi centre. When the exam results came in June, Mithali scored more than 90 marks, while Dr. Khaitan scored 89 marks. NEET counseling continued till the third week of September, but Mithali took admission in MBBS in Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, Karnataka in July itself. Dr. Khaitan said, there is no age for studies. Success can be achieved with honesty, commitment and hard work.
Achievements of Dr. Khaitan-On April 13, 2011, Dr. Prakash Khaitan performed eight-hour surgery on the brain of an eight-year-old girl and removed 296 cysts. His name is recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. After passing CPMT in 1992, Dr. Khaitan took admission in Motilal Nehru Medical College, Prayagraj (then Allahabad) and studied MBBS. After that, he completed MS Surgery from King George Medical College, Lucknow in 1999 and MCh Neuro Surgery in 2003.
