National education policy may be presented in G20, efforts will be made to bring top universities to India

in 2023 G20 summit is going to happen in India. This international conference (G20 Summit) under the chairmanship of India will be held in New Delhi in September 2023. On this occasion, the new National Education Policy of the country can be presented before the world. UGC Chairman M Jagadish Kumar has said this to draw the attention of international education and universities towards India. According to him, National Education Policy (NEP) can play an important role in this.

University Grants Commission Chairman Jagdish Kumar said in the G 20 'University Connect: Engaging Young Minds' program, 'We are working on internationalization of education. Meanwhile, when we talk about G-20, this topic becomes important.

He said that two years ago, India introduced a visionary National Education Policy. In the last two years, work is being done to implement it. Many education reforms are included in this. NEP 2020 gives flexibility and freedom in teaching and related subjects. Many improvements are being made in this regard. This includes works like multidimensional holistic education, strengthening the capacity of teachers, improving the system related to research and innovation. NEP can be presented as a model of student empowerment during the G20 India Summit.

Attempt to invite world top universities to India

UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar said, 'We want to bring international education to the country. UGC will act as a facilitator and catalyst in the initiative to invite top universities of the world to set up their campuses in India. The initiative to make education international in the country starts from this. This is being done by inviting world renowned universities to set up their campus in India and encouraging students to get quality education in other countries.

He said that 'there are three big challenges before the world today- growing inequality, failing economic system and deteriorating environment. When we look at India, we find that there are 30 crore youth in the age group of 15 to 25 years who have their own aspirations.

The special thing about these youth is that they are eager to learn. They are passionate about creativity and innovation. They want to solve problems. Questions the status quo and is willing to take risks. On one hand there are challenges and on the other hand there are aspirations of the youth. In such a situation, the solution to the challenges can be found only by fulfilling the aspirations of the youth.

At the same time, mentioning the efforts for digital empowerment of students, he said that efforts are being made to provide high quality education to every student of the country using technology. Referring to skill education, said that work is being done to establish 500 skill centers in the university system.
