When it comes to studies or jobs, America is always the first choice of Indians. The result of this desire is that today the number of Indian students in America has become the maximum. Although China is still a little ahead of us. But within a few months, we will leave China behind in terms of Study in US. This claim has been made in the Open Doors Report 2022. According to this report, in the last decade Study in US The number of Indian students opting has more than doubled. Talking about international students in America, the participation of Indian students has increased from 11.8% to 21%.
On the other hand, if we talk about China, then the participation of Chinese students in USA is 31 percent. That is, 10 percent more than India. But the rate of increase in the number of Chinese students in America is very low. In 2012-13, where the participation of Chinese students in the US was 29%. Now after 10 years only 2 per cent has increased to 31%. Whereas India has registered a growth of 9.2% in 10 years.
India will leave China behind in 2023 itself!
The longing for Study in America is not one-sided. If Indian students prefer to study in America, then the US is also giving them priority. This year only between June and August, America has given US Visa to 82 thousand Indian students. In 2021-22, this number was 62 thousand.
Don Heflin, Minister Counselor of the American Embassy in Delhi himself has given this information. He told that a large number of Indian students have registered for master's degree programs in America.
According to the Open Doors report, the number of international students studying in America in 2021-22 was 9.48 lakh. It was 9.14 lakh in 2020-21. For students of most countries, the US is the first choice in terms of studying abroad. But at present, 52 percent of the international students in America are from China and India only. There are 1,99,182 students from India. 10 years ago this number was 96,654.
