Minority students will get double scholarship, Rs 50000 for higher studies

Maharashtra government is going to give a big gift to the students of minority community. The state government has doubled the amount of scholarship given to minority students. Now the Maharashtra government will give Rs 50,000 to minority students for higher studies. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde has taken this decision. In 2018 also, the Maharashtra government had taken a big decision regarding this scholarship. In the year 2018 also the scholarship amount remained the same, but the income of the parents of the beneficiary students was increased from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 8 lakh.

Survey for Minority Scholarship

The hike comes a week after the Eknath Shinde government launched a detailed study to assess the social, financial and educational status of Muslims in 56 cities across six revenue divisions in the state.

In a statement issued by the Shinde government in Maharashtra, it was said that Scholarship For Minority Now the amount has been increased to 50 thousand rupees. At the same time, students of minority community up to class 12th studying arts, science and commerce will get a scholarship of Rs 5000.

Scholarships for Hostel Residents

According to media reports, last year in Maharashtra, the government had announced a special education allowance to the students. The Minority Development Department had decided to give Rs 3000-3500 every month to the students living in hostels. This amount was announced by the state's Minority Development Minister Nawab Malik.
